The Comptroller oversees the City’s daily accounting systems and records, processes authorized claims, and assists in preparing the annual budget. Additionally, the office supervises fund borrowing for capital projects, computes tax rates, and oversees tax billing and collection procedures. It provides financial planning for capital budgets and debt services, manages payroll procedures and preparation for city departments, and addresses public concerns about the city’s finances. Moreover, it offers financial updates to city officials and council members.
