The Department of Public Works Traffic Division is responsible for maintaining traffic signal equipment at 68 intersections within the City of Jamestown, NY. Of these, 27 intersections are managed by the New York State Department of Transportation, with the City providing maintenance through a contract with the State. However, this contract does not include major repairs or operational changes.
Additionally, the City has a Shared Services Agreement with Chautauqua County, enabling us to assist with maintenance for various towns and villages within the county.
