FIREFIGHTER CPAT SCREENING EVENT THIS WEEKEND
JAMESTOWN, NY – May 1, 2024 – This weekend, the City of Jamestown Fire Department, along with other regional fire departments, will host the Firefighter Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) Screening Event. Join us on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 and Sunday, May 5th, 2024, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Northwest Savings Bank Arena, 319 West 3rd Street.
The CPAT assesses candidates’ physical capabilities through 8 event stations. It is open to all interested in firefighting careers in Chautauqua County. Representatives from both volunteer and career fire departments will be available for recruitment discussion.
There is no cost to participate. Participants must be 17 or older (minors need parental consent). Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
“We are excited to provide aspiring firefighters with an opportunity to showcase their abilities,” said Battalion Chief Shawn Shilling.
