Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy Walk

The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy group will be presenting at the next Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 3:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn about important conservation efforts in our community. Don’t forget—all Planning Commission meetings are open to the public, so everyone is encouraged to attend!

Special Walking Tour Announcement!

In addition to the meeting, join us for a Walking Tour of the Riverwalk on Wednesday, August 21st at 12:30 PM. We will meet at Panzarella Park. On this tour, you’ll discover the exciting bank restoration and basin activation projects happening downtown in the Chadakoin River basin.

We’ll explore completed projects and review ongoing efforts, including:

• Removing navigational hazards to increase canoe/kayak safety.

• Planting native vegetation to support pollinators.

• Protecting large bank trees from beaver damage.

• Rebuilding unstable bank sections.

This is a wonderful chance to see how we’re working together to preserve and enhance our local waterways. See you there!
