The JLDC serves as the lending division of the City of Jamestown, dedicated to promoting economic development. It achieves this goal by offering low-interest loans and other funding assistance to Jamestown businesses and industries. This initiative aims to encourage private sector investment by supporting the expansion of existing firms and the establishment of new businesses. Ultimately, the JLDC strives to preserve or enhance the real property tax base and foster job retention and creation within the City of Jamestown.
