JAMESTOWN, NY – The City of Jamestown proudly announces the release of its Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid Corporate Documentary & Commercial, a major visual storytelling initiative designed to showcase why Jamestown is a compelling place to live, work, invest, and grow.
Nearly a year in the making, this project extends beyond a conventional documentary or commercial. It delivers a deliberate, nationally distributed narrative focused on Jamestown’s opportunity, balance, and long-term growth. The story captures a city where career and family, affordability and advancement, and success and quality of life coexist—positioning Jamestown as a community where families, professionals, and businesses can thrive while maintaining an exceptional standard of living.
Mayor Ecklund remarked, “Jamestown is a city worth celebrating, and I encourage our residents to champion and promote the place we proudly call home. Jamestown provides real opportunity—paired with affordability, accessibility, and a strong sense of community. These videos share our story in an authentic and compelling way, inviting people across the country to experience Jamestown for themselves—whether by visiting, investing, or putting down roots.”
The City extends its gratitude to the partners who made this initiative possible: The Gebbie Foundation, Collaborative Children’s Solutions (CCS), and the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU). Their financial support, professional expertise, and consistent engagement were instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Special thanks are also extended to David Niles and his family for representing Jamestown on screen, Justin Gould for his expertise in capturing authentic city footage, and the Robert H. Jackson Center for hosting the unveiling event.
Jamestown is a community grounded in resilience, with a legacy of industry, innovation, and culture—and a future centered on attainable opportunity. Here, individuals can pursue meaningful careers while maintaining affordability; families can build equity and enjoy time together; and businesses can grow responsibly with competitive operating costs and reliable essential services. The city’s accessible location, four distinct seasons, arts community, and outdoor recreation further strengthen its quality-of-life advantage.
The Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid Corporate Documentary & Commercial serve as both an invitation and a celebration — spotlighting Jamestown’s workforce, cultural experiences, and strong community spirit. They aim to attract visitors, families, and prospective residents by presenting Jamestown as a place where opportunity and balance align.
The commercial is currently airing in the Top 100 regional media markets across the United States, with peak and prime-time placements to maximize national exposure, and will also air later this month during a prime-time slot on a nationally syndicated program. The full corporate documentary is broadcasting on Public Television affiliates nationwide and will continue throughout 2026, providing sustained visibility for Jamestown’s story. In addition, a targeted national email campaign was deployed earlier this week to one million recipients, directing audiences to Jamestown’s Opportunity Hub at www.jamestownny.gov/opportunity. Both the documentary and commercial are available for viewing on the City of Jamestown’s website and official YouTube channel.
