The City of Jamestown has been awarded a community arts grant from Arts Services, Inc. (ASI). With these resources, the City is launching a search for an artist to design and install a mural to identified areas of the Spring Street parking garage. Additionally, this grant will provide a point of entry to designing a dedicated public art platform for Jamestown. The City looks forward to the contribution this grant, the selected artist, and the concept will make to paving a pathway for the future of public art.
Applications will be accepted between May 1 and May 15th at 4:00pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. The selected artist will be announced no later than May 31st, 2022. Coordination for planning and preparations will commence immediately upon selection. Two (2) informational site visits will be conducted on: Friday, April 29th @ 2:30pm, and Wednesday, May 4th @ 5:30pm. Please contact Ellen Shadle, Principal Planner for further details.
