CITY OF JAMESTOWN CALLING ON ARTISTS TO APPLY FOR PUBLIC ARTS GRANT

The City of Jamestown has been awarded a community arts grant from Arts Services, Inc. (ASI). With these resources, the City is launching a search for an artist to design and install a mural to identified areas of the Spring Street parking garage. Additionally, this grant will provide a point of entry to designing a dedicated public art platform for Jamestown. The City looks forward to the contribution this grant, the selected artist, and the concept will make to paving a pathway for the future of public art.

Applications will be accepted between May 1 and May 15^th at 4:00pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. The selected artist will be announced no later than May 31^st, 2022. Coordination for planning and preparations will commence immediately upon selection. Two (2) informational site visits will be conducted on: Friday, April 29th @ 2:30pm, and Wednesday, May 4th @ 5:30pm. Please contact Ellen Shadle, Principal Planner for further details.
