The Jamestown Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T) is a volunteer group of specially trained personnel assigned to specialized weapons, supplemental safety equipment and other specialized devices to effectively overcome prolonged life-threatening situations, such as barricaded gunman situations, hostage situations, anti-sniper incidents, drug interdictions, high risk warrant service and security for visiting dignitaries.
