Report Vacant House

Vacant and zombie homes unfortunately cause a plethora of problems in our community. From lowering the value of neighboring properties and costing the taxpayers money to attracting pests and inviting crimes such as arson and the use of illicit substances, these vacant houses do significant harm to those in the surrounding area. It is a top priority here in the City of Jamestown that these vacant buildings be effectively dealt with, including houses that become abandoned after a foreclosure is initiated against the owner (referred to as ‘zombie’ properties).

Every vacant or zombie home that the City deals with improves the quality of life of its neighbors and makes our City a more attractive place to work and live. We cannot, however, rid the City of these problem properties unless we our entire community works together to do so. As such, we request that, if you are aware of a vacant or zombie property in your area, you report it to us in the form linked to below/above (not sure what the layout of the page will be, so select the correct option), so we can ensure that the problem is dealt with in the most efficient and effective way possible.
