ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Jamestown, New York, will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 200 E. 3rd Street, Jamestown, New York to consider the following:
1. The petition of Richard and Judy O’Neil, 346 Camp Street, Jamestown, NY, for an area variance to erect a 10’x12’ addition to the existing 10’x16’ shed at a distance of 4’ from the property line at 346 Camp Street, parcel 388.17-1-8. (Section 300-0317 Accessory Structures: The required rear yard setback is 5’ from the property line. Proposed is 4’ which aligns with the existing shed.)
2. The petition of Nicholas and Liza Babcock, 11 Spruce Street, Jamestown, NY, for an area variance to replace an existing 6’ fence with an 8’ fence at 11 Spruce Street, parcel 370.15-6-42. (Section 300-0206 Fences in residential districts: The maximum allowable height for a fence in the rear yard is 6’. Proposed is 8’.)
3. The petition of Pastor Tara L. Eastman, 825 Forest Avenue, Jamestown, NY, for a use variance to lease the unused parsonage at Tree of Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Avenue, parcel 404.06-9-21, to a non-profit community services organization (Housing Options Made Easy.) (Section 300-0305 R-1 Single Family Residential: Offices for nonprofit organizations are not allowed in the R-1 District. The first permitted district is the R-C District.)
Notice is further given that persons in interest will be given an opportunity to be heard for or against the granting of the foregoing petition by the Zoning Board of Appeals at the time and place above mentioned.
